Coping with life-threatening diagnosis is hard. Where do you turn? What do you need to do to prepare for the end of your life's journey?

Northern Health's free grief and bereavement support program is available to help. Referrals to the program can be made by the individual, their doctor, any health care professional or community agency. 


If you feel that you need to speak to a Northern Health grief counselor in the Quesnel area, one is available Monday to Wednesdays.

Please call the BC Bereavement Helpline and speak with one of our caring volunteers for information on our bereavement support groups, agencies, and peer-based support. You call is free, confidential, and anonymous. We will help you find the most appropriate support for your specific type of loss

A free online resource that helps parents support their children when someone in their life is dying or has died. It equips parents with the words and confidence needed to help children grieve life’s losses in healthy ways.


Because losing someone is hard, helps you to understand and work through your grief. Developed by families and grief experts, it is filled with stories from people who have "been There".It is confidential and accessible in the privacy of your own home.
